Twenty inmates of Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur sports hostels joined a special swimming camp, which commenced here at Biju Patnaik Swimming Complex in Kalinga Stadium today. Organised by State Sports and Youth Services Department, the camp would continue for 15 days.
Campers would be trained by Sports Authority India coach Prabir Basa. ``The camp is being conducted to help hostel inmates prepare well for the 52nd State Swimming Championship to be held at Kalinga Stadium from May 30 to 31,`` said government swimming coach Surendra Nayak.
Assistant Sports Director Kishor Mania inaugurated the camp in the presence of Kalinga Stadium in-charge Kumar Panda and Swimming Complex in-charge Haripada Satapathy.
